The Infrastructure Advisory Committee, the group that oversees deficiencies on city streets, sidewalks, curbs and civic buildings, has been selected and appointed. The City Council recently approved the appointments of Paul Simons, a planning commissioner; Ed Ginter, a transportation and circulation commissioner; and Rick Feuchter, a community services commissioner. The rest of the 10-member committee: Larry Ballard, Joseph P. Stopper, Richard Daybell, Pearl G. Mann, Michael T. Carre, Charles Kovac and Rex Pritchard. One of the committee’s main tasks will be finding funds for the city’s infrastructure, which reportedly is in need of $188 million in repairs if not corrected in the next 30 years. The city only has about $41 million at this time.
