HUNTINGTON BEACH
The citizens group Save Our City is launching a campaign to defeat Measure J, an initiative that would prevent the Crest View school site from being leased to the Wal-Mart corporation. The formal launching of the campaign will take place today at 9:30 a.m. in the Waterfront Hilton, 21100 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach. Tracy Pellman, Ocean View School District trustee and Save Our Schools co-chair, will answer questions and explain why her group supports the lease of the site to Wal-Mart. Measure J will be on the March ballot.
