* The Right Start in Westlake Village appointed three senior officers for its online subsidiary, Rightstart.com.

Raymond P. Springer has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer. Springer was most recently senior vice president and chief financial officer of Payless Cashways Inc., based in Kansas City, Mo.

Kendrick F. Royer was appointed senior vice president and general counsel. Formerly an attorney with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Los Angeles, he practiced general corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions law.

Lisa Mittleman was appointed vice president of marketing. Mittleman was previously director of marketing for the Disney Entertainment Business Unit of Mattel Inc.

The Right Start specializes in high-end products for infants and children.

* Franklin Telecom in Westlake Village named telecommunications industry veteran John Field as president of its voice-over Internet protocol subsidiary, FNet Corp.

Since 1997, Field has been president and chief executive of International Telecommunications Network, a consulting firm based in Denver specializing in leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions. Before that, he served as executive vice president for ICG Communications, and as a senior cable television executive with Time Warner Cable and United Artists / TCI.

Franklin Telecom designs and manufactures communications devices, including hardware and software products.

* Pink Dot, a Camarillo-based online grocery and prepared-food delivery service, has appointed three vice presidents.

They are John Leonard, buying and merchandising; Steve Roth, real estate and construction, and Alan Wilkerson, operations.

Before joining Pink Dot, Leonard was director of buying for Smart & Final and category manager for Ralphs Grocery Co.

Roth previously served for 20 years at McDonald’s Corp. before handling construction responsibilities for In-N-Out Burger and La Salsa Holding Co.

Wilkerson previously worked at Texaco Refining & Marketing Co. before serving as vice president, retail service, for Koch Industries.

* Johnson Controls Inc., based in Milwaukee, has appointed Patrick Young president and chief operating officer of its Cardkey Systems subsidiary based in Simi Valley.

In his new position, Young is responsible for managing Cardkey brand integrated security solutions.

Young has served in successive management positions with Johnson Controls for the past 20 years. Most recently, he was president of TEGG Corp., a Johnson Controls joint venture in Pittsburgh. He continues to serve on TEGG’s board of directors.
