Fincher Fan

I found it interesting you did not mention or incorporate David Fincher (“Alien3,” “Seven,” “The Game,” “Fight Club”) in your Dec. 19 list of young Hollywood directors (“The New New Wave,” by Patrick Goldstein, and “Extreme Team,” by Kathleen Craughwell).

He is arguably among the most gifted visual stylists of all the directors mentioned (or not), and no doubt the directors listed would agree to his presence and influence. He is also one of the linchpins of the young wave of directors that blazed a path (originating in video) in which they could follow; indeed, the articles seem remiss without including Fincher and his considerable body of work while including lesser-known directors with one or two of their only works.
