The Ice Dogs have climbed into third place in the Western Conference, seven points behind first-place Manitoba, despite having the worst road record in the conference at 5-9-4. . . . Tuesday will be another go-round with the Utah Grizzlies. Utah’s Mick Vukota and the Ice Dogs’ Claude Boivin jawed at each other in a restaurant following a Dec. 8 game. Boivin had been ejected for a checking on Utah’s Joe Frederick from behind, and later got a three-game suspension. Vukota had also been ejected from the game. Both players were fined $250 for their dinner confrontation.
