Alliance Plans Party to Note Millennium

Alliance for Survival’s “Happy 2000 New Millennium Earth Party” will promote peace, human rights and environmentalism and ring in the new year Friday with stand-up comedy, music, dancing, dinner, guest speakers and poets at the Church in Ocean Park from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Featured will be comics and satirists Charlie Hill, Paul Krassner, Rick Overton, Denise Munro Robb and David Zasloff; a rock band, the Earth All Stars; prizes for most original new millennium resolutions; and a “new millennium midnight earth ceremony.”
