Revenue Up 47% for White Cap Industries

White Cap Industries Inc., the Costa Mesa retailer of specialty contractors tools and materials, reported net income of $2.5 million, or 23 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter. A year ago, the company posted a net loss of $5.5 million, or 56 cents a share, which included extraordinary charges of $6 million. Revenue for the quarter ended Dec. 26 rose 47% to a record $73.8 million from $50.3 million.
