EL MONTE — Investigators arrested two men Tuesday who are suspected of robbing 18 people in a Denny’s restaurant, authorities said.
Vaughn Linson, 20, and Michael Berry, 28, were arrested in South-Central Los Angeles early Tuesday in connection with the Jan. 28 holdup at the restaurant at 3540 Peck Road, said El Monte Police Det. John Fentress.
Two other suspects, Tamika Stinson, 18, and a teenager were arrested the morning after the holdup, Fentress said. A witness who was pumping gas next to Denny’s saw a group of people run from the scene and get away in a car.
The information the witness gave police led to the arrest of Stinson and the teenager, Fentress said. Tips gathered after their arrest took them to Linson and Berry, he said.
All four suspects were booked for armed robbery. Investigators are trying to determine whether the suspects were involved in recent armed robberies at other Denny’s restaurants in the Southland.
