Undermanned Virginia didn’t figure to offer No. 1-ranked Duke much of a challenge on Thursday night and that was the case as the Blue Devils defeated the Cavaliers, 100-54, at Charlottesville, Va., for their 19th consecutive victory.

Duke, 24-1 and 12-0 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, had six players score in double figures to reach 100 points for the seventh time this season. The Blue Devils, bidding to become the first team to go through the 16-game ACC schedule unbeaten, have beaten conference opponents by an average of 23.8 points.

Virginia (13-12, 3-9) has only six scholarship players available because of injuries and transfers.
