DGA Lauds Bochco: TV producer Steven Bochco--whose creations have included “NYPD Blue,” “Hill Street Blues” and “L.A. Law”--will receive the Directors Guild of America’s Diversity Award on March 6 at the Century Plaza Hotel. The award, being given for only the second time, honors Bochco’s “consistent commitment to and leadership in the hiring of women and ethnic minorities.”

Eurythmics Together Again: Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart are reuniting as the Eurythmics, with plans to release their first album together in 10 years this fall. Stewart and Lennox have been recording new material together over the last two months, and are planning a world tour after the album’s release.

Spears Stays on Top: Britney Spears cemented her second straight week at No. 1 on the nation’s album chart with a 26% surge in sales, according to SoundScan. The 17-year-old Spears sold 229,000 copies last week of her debut album, “ . . . Baby One More Time,” easily outpacing the No. 2 performer, the Offspring’s “Americana” (129,000 copies sold last week). The No. 1 single: Monica’s “Angel of Mine.”

Brit Awards: Robbie Williams, former singer of the British group Take That, took home three top prizes at the Brit Awards in London Tuesday, including best male performer and best single. Other winners included Welsh rock band Manic Street Preachers (best British band and best album), Australian Natalie Imbruglia (best international newcomer and best international female) and the Eurythmics (outstanding contribution to British music).

Blige, Crystal Lewis & the Family and a Wynton Marsalis-led tribute to Duke Ellington have been added to the list of performers for Wednesday’s Grammy Awards on CBS. . . . Speaking of the Grammys, former Sex Pistols leader Johnny Rotten will host pre- and post-show specials Wednesday on cable’s VH1. VH1 called the stint a “test” for Rotten, who will get his own weekly magazine-style show on the network later this year. . . . KFWB-AM (980) has added “Alan Mendelson’s Best Buys,” with money-saving tips and brief consumer news reports from KCAL-TV’s money reporter, airing daily at 12:25 and 6:27 p.m. . . . DreamWorks’ “The Prince of Egypt” has been named the best family film of 1998 by Movieguide, a publication of the Christian Film and Television Commission.
