In January, the city made offers of settlement to firefighters to try to end a long-running labor dispute. Today, firefighters are scheduled to make their offers of settlement, city officials said.

Firefighters have been without a contract since July 1996 and want a cost-of-living raise. Anaheim voters in November approved amending the city’s charter to allow taking labor disputes involving firefighters to a neutral party for resolution.

Earlier this month, the City Council approved an agreement with Creative Management Solutions, in an amount not to exceed $80,000, should the binding arbitration process be used.
