Pilot Makes Emergency Landing on Freeway
ANAHEIM —
A pilot escaped injury today after making an emergency landing, putting down his single-engine plane on the westbound Riverside Freeway near Imperial Highway.
California Highway Patrol Officer Mark Reeves said the plane made “a rough landing” by the freeway at 4:27 p.m., but no one was hurt. The plane appeared to have sustained no damage.
The reason for the landing was not immediately clear. The aircraft was removed from the roadway by truck.
