An Easter Passion play that focuses not only on the suffering of Jesus but also on the journey of his mother, Mary, will be performed at Chapman University’s auditorium next month.
More than 60 parishioners representing six parishes of the Diocese of Orange will present the play, with proceeds benefiting the Lestonnac Free Medical Clinic in Orange. The 2 1/2-hour play has been performed for more than five years, said director Ginny Moon of St. Kilian Church.
More than 700 people are expected to attend the three performances scheduled for noon March 26, 8 p.m. March 27 and 2 p.m. March 28, Moon said.
Tickets--$10 each, or $40 for a family of any size--should be purchased as soon as possible, Moon said.
