TAHOE CITY--Opening night ceremonies for SnowFest ’99 begin at 6 p.m. next Friday, March 5, with a bonfire, fireworks and torchlight parade at Squaw Valley, off California Highway 89. SONORA--Two-step your way to the sixth annual Motherlode Line Dance Festival next weekend, March 6-7. Dance workshops run 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Motherlode Fairgrounds, California highways 49 and 108.
