The Philadelphia Flyers finished a good road trip with a bad third period.

The Flyers blew a two-goal lead before holding on for a 3-3 tie against the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday at Edmonton, Canada, to extend their undefeated streak to 11 games.

Roman Hamrlik and Boyd Devereaux scored 64 seconds apart late in the third period to cap the Oilers’ comeback.

Philadelphia finished a six-game trip with a 4-0-2 record and extended its unbeaten streak to 6-0-5. The Flyers also are unbeaten against Western Conference teams (8-0-4).

“In the big picture, it was a good road trip,” said Flyer center Rod Brind’Amour, who had a goal and an assist. “On a smaller scale, we didn’t have a good third period.”

Detroit 3, Chicago 1--Larry Murphy and Tomas Holmstrom scored second-period power-play goals at Chicago and the Red Wings got their second victory over the Blackhawks in as many days.

Detroit captured Saturday night’s game on its home ice, 5-2, scoring three third-period goals in a span of 73 seconds. The teams then had to wait out a snowstorm before flying to Chicago early Sunday.

Murphy scored the go-ahead goal on a rebound after Nicklas Lidstrom’s slap shot from the left circle went off Jocelyn Thibault.
