SEAL BEACH
The City Council will interview candidates today at 5 p.m. at City Hall for the vacancy created by the resignation of Mayor George Brown.
The three candidates who have applied for the District 2 seat are John H. Larson, Paul Snow and Mike Levitt. Larson, an attorney since 1950, was counsel for Los Angeles County from 1973 to 1983 and is currently a member of the Seal Beach Planning Commission. Snow, a retired equipment firm manager, is a member of the city Board of Appeals and former president of the Golden Rain Foundation Board of Directors, which runs Leisure World. Levitt, a 25-year resident of District 2, is a public affairs specialist who will be retiring soon.
The deadline for submitting a letter of application is open until interviews begin at 5 p.m.
