ANAHEIM
The City Council today will consider imposing more stringent regulations on massage businesses to better protect the public and reduce criminal activity. The proposed ordinance revisions are modeled after the massage ordinance adopted in Newport Beach, which has resulted in massage establishments closing and relocating to cities where there is less regulation.
Changes would include a more comprehensive background check of applicants and more rigid operating standards. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at 200 S. Anaheim Blvd. Information: (714) 765-5166.
