The state of Florida is 0-3 in national championship games played in the Fiesta Bowl. The other two losses: Penn State defeated Miami in 1986, and Nebraska beat Florida in 1996.

Is Florida State’s incredible streak over? The Seminoles have finished no lower than fourth in the final Associated Press poll for 11 consecutive seasons, but this loss may end the streak.

Here’s a guess at today’s final AP poll: Tennessee, Ohio State, Arizona, Wisconsin, Florida State.

Tennessee receiver Peerless Price was named the Fiesta Bowl’s offensive player of the game. Florida State tackle Ross Brannon won the Art Bodine Sportsmanship Award.
