OCC Standout Jackson to Play for Fairleigh Dickinson

Shaun Jackson, an All-Orange Empire Conference basketball player last season at Orange Coast, completed his two-year degree and will play for Fairleigh Dickinson starting today, OCC Coach Tim O’Brien said.

Jackson completed his associate’s degree at OCC during the fall to become eligible. Jackson averaged 23 points and eight rebounds and had 55 three-pointers last season for OCC.

Fairleigh Dickinson will be the third four-year college for Jackson, who played at Mater Dei. He signed with Wyoming out of high school and then transferred to UC Irvine, but he didn’t play there.

Also Thursday, David Castleton, a guard at OCC this season, turned down a scholarship offer from Rhode Island.
