* PEPPERDINE (10-6, 1-0) at GONZAGA (11-4, 1-0), 7 p.m., KIEV (870)--After winning their West Coast Conference openers Thursday, the teams that finished one-two in the preseason coaches’ poll after doing the same in the standings last season meet at Spokane, Wash. Gonzaga finished first last year and in the poll. The WCC’s top-scoring team made 63% of its shots in a 105-78 victory over Loyola Marymount on Thursday and was led by Matt Santangelowh, who scored 28 points, and Richie Frahm, who scored 21. Pepperdine’s Jelani Gardner scored 23 against Portland on Thursday to lead the Waves from a two-point halftime deficit to a 13-point victory. Last year, Pepperdine ended a five-game losing streak at Spokane when Marc McDowell’s basket at the buzzer gave the Waves a 65-64 victory.
