Photographs are being sought from residents who served in the military to be considered for inclusion on a veterans memorial planned for downtown.
Orange County artist Richard Turner has been selected by the city to work on the project. Turner will review the photographs submitted and may include them in the bas-relief mural he creates. He created “Anamorph” for the Pond, which has been well-received.
The request for the memorial came from local veterans. City staff have identified a site for the memorial north of Anaheim Museum; it is expected to be completed by Veterans Day. The city has earmarked $175,000 for the project.
