SEAL BEACH
The city is set to begin the design of a project to widen the Seal Beach Boulevard bridge over the San Diego Freeway. Robert Bein, William Frost & Associates of Irvine will provide planning and engineering services for $227,800. The project, which will widen the road to six lanes, is being funded through a $1.5-million state and federal grant and a matching amount from the Bixby Ranch Co.’s project approved by the City Council last month, City Manager Keith Till said.
