Officers were elected this week for a new nonprofit organization whose focus is to preserve the old Villa Park Elementary School buildings. The Villa Park Elementary Restoration Corp. is raising money toward the work, estimated to cost up to $1.4 million.

Members of the executive board are Teri Brooks Elmendorf, president; Connie Townsend, vice president; Bill Barren, treasurer; and Herb Gallegly, secretary. Residents are also being sought to serve on the board of directors.

The organization’s next meeting is Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Serrano Water District offices, 18021 Lincoln St. Information or donations: (714) 997-9288.
