Kaynar Tech Names Marketing Exec

* Terence J. Keenaghan has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Fullerton-based Kaynar Technologies Inc.’s new Aerospace Components Group. He is responsible for inside and outside sales as well as marketing and technical sales for the group’s line of specialty fasteners. Also, Craig Brown has been named vice president of operations for Microdot, a division of the aerospace components group.

* Thora Thoroddsen has been appointed senior vice president of finance for Mossimo Inc. in Irvine, a designer and manufacturer of men’s and women’s sportswear. She will continue to serve as treasurer and secretary. Thoroddsen joined the company in 1997 as controller and was most recently chief accounting officer. Previously, she was manager of financial reporting for Coldwell Banker Relocation Services in Mission Viejo.

* James Webb has been named engineering manager for Ceradyne Inc., a Costa Mesa manufacturer of technical ceramics. Before joining Ceradyne, Webb held process engineering positions at General Ceramics and Champion Spark Plug Co. Also, John Mangels has been appointed to the new position of director of sales and marketing for Ceradyne’s Advanced Ceramic Operations. He has been with the company 12 years.

* Steve Perrin has been appointed senior vice president of technology for Advantix in Newport Beach, a ticket provider for the performing arts, professional sports and live entertainment industries. He was formerly with Electronic Data Systems for 13 years. In addition, Dan Cooper was named senior vice president of national operations. He was also with Electronic Data Systems for 13 years.

* William M. McMahon Jr. has been named vice president for strategic alliances for Wyle Systems in Irvine. McMahon’s experience in computer product distribution includes 10 years with Arrow Electronics. Most recently, he was president of the Century Computer Marketing division of Aurora Electronics in Irvine.

* Michael Gaffney has been appointed managing director and head of small-cap growth management for Pimco Equity Advisors, Pimco Advisors Holdings LP’s new equity mutual fund in Newport Beach. He was formerly with Alliance Capital Management.

* John Clay has joined Ware & Malcomb Architects Inc. in Irvine as project architect. He had been facilities planning supervisor for Southern California Edison. In addition, Alex Karim has been named job captain. He was previously job captain for Steven Langford Architects.

* Ed Hahn has been appointed merchandising vice president for HomeBase Inc., an Irvine-based chain of home-improvement warehouses. Before joining HomeBase, Hahn was with Scotty’s Home Center in Winter Haven, Fla. as vice president of lumber and building materials. Before that he was divisional merchandising manager at Channels Home Center in New Jersey. Also, Lorne Duthie has been named manager of real estate. Prior to joining HomeBase, Duthie worked in commercial real estate for 11 years at Future Shop, an electronics chain in Vancouver.

* Lee H. Elizer has been named vice president, market development for American International in Anaheim, a supplier of tape storage products. Prior to joining the company, he was vice president of marketing at Breece Hill, and founded Data-ThinK, a storage solutions provider.

* Martin Walk has been named to the new position of director of sales and marketing for American Custom Components Inc. in Santa Ana. Walk, founder of the company in 1994 and the major shareholder, has been project sales manager and vice president of sales with electronics companies such as ITT Cannon, Amphenol and Tri-Star Electronics.

* Chris Trujillo has been appointed manager of operations for Dominion Contractors Inc. in Irvine. He most recently served as senior project executive for the California office.

* Kathleen A. Janson has been named vice president of corporate communications for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of technology products and services. Prior to joining Ingram Micro in 1996, she served as vice president of corporate communications for Nat Systems International. Lino Martin was appointed vice president of financial services and North American treasurer. He had been senior director of financial services and U.S. treasurer. Cheryl A. Shiroke has been named vice president, purchasing operations. She most recently served as senior director of purchasing operations. Kimmerly W. Strohm has been named vice president of investor relations. Before joining Ingram Micro in 1996, Strohm held several management positions in strategic planning, product management and investor and analyst relations in the software industry, primarily at Legent Corp.

* Raymond B. Wedel Jr. has joined Sonic Jet Performance Inc. in Huntington Beach as chief operating officer and general manager of production. His 25-year career in the marine industry includes projects with Mercury Marine, Volvo, Chrysler: Marine Engines and Drives.

* Michelle Burge has been named vice president/controller for Professional Community Management Inc. in Lake Forest. Burge, with more than 15 years of experience in the financial field, will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s accounting department.
