Visiting Panamanian Attacked at Miami Mall

MIAMI —
A businesswoman from Panama was in critical condition after being shot by a mugger at a Miami shopping mall, police said.
Lynn Motta, 50, of Panama City, an executive of Motta International, her family’s duty-free business, was attacked Saturday in the parking lot of Dadeland Mall, police said. When she refused to give up her purse, the attacker pushed her to the ground, shot her several times and escaped in her rental car, police said.
