Ross Hopkins has been installed as 1999 chairman of the United Chambers of Commerce of the San Fernando Valley.
Hopkins, of Canoga Park, a public affairs consultant and past chairman of the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn., has been active in the community for more than 20 years. He served as president of the Burbank Chamber of Commerce, member of Los Angeles Councilman Hal Bernson’s Advisory Council and most recently was chairman of the Republican County Central Committee from the 38th Assembly District.
He was public affairs manager at Lockheed Corp. and taught political science at USC and Cal State Long Beach.
The United Chambers is an advocacy coalition of 23 chambers in the Valley area.
