Cher has teamed with Elijah Blue Allman, her son with Gregg Allman and leader of a band called Deadsy, for a version of Tommy James & the Shondells’ ‘60s hit “Crimson and Clover” for the soundtrack to the movie “A Walk on the Moon,” due March 23 from Sire Records. Also on the collection is another James hit, “Crystal Blue Persuasion,” performed by Morcheeba. . . .

The Chemical Brothers have lined up Oasis’ Noel Gallagher, New Order’s Bernard Sumner and Mercury Rev’s Jonathan Donahue to guest on an album they’ve started recording. No release date has been set.
