ANAHEIM

* East La Palma Avenue: Report of a forced commercial burglary in the 5600 block at 12:48 a.m. Jan. 18.

* West Lincoln Avenue: A person was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance in the 2700 block at 2:25 p.m. Jan. 18.

BREA

* Lambert Road at Tamarack Avenue: Police arrested a 78-year-old man on suspicion of driving under the influence at 12:09 p.m. Tuesday.

BUENA PARK

* Commonwealth Avenue: A caller said the front license plate of a car was stolen or lost in the 8500 block; reported at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday.

COSTA MESA

* 17th Street: A watch and a purse and its contents, worth $2,080, were stolen from a car in the 400 block about 11:30 a.m. Jan. 18.

* California Street: A videocassette recorder and a cable box worth $300 were stolen from a home in the 3200 block sometime between Jan. 15 and Tuesday.

CYPRESS

* Bloomfield Street: Report of a burglarized 1997 dark green Saturn in the 9200 block at 9:19 p.m. Jan. 17. The rear passenger window was shattered, items taken unknown.

DANA POINT

* Pacific Coast Highway at Del Obispo Street: Report of a traffic collision, injuries unknown, at 3:19 p.m. Jan. 18.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Slater Avenue: A man reported seeing a person pry open the door to his 1985 Honda Civic and steal his CD player, valued at $400, from the dashboard at 4 p.m. Saturday.

FULLERTON

* Quail Ridge: A woman reported that someone knocked on her door in the 2700 block at 3:30 a.m. Sunday and when she answered it the person at the door shined a flashlight in her face and ran away.

GARDEN GROVE

* Harbor Boulevard South: Police stopped a vehicle for equipment violations Saturday. The driver said he was on parole and did not have a license. Police then searched the driver and vehicle and found a quarter-pound of methamphetamine and a dagger. The driver was arrested on suspicion of parole violations and was being held at Orange County Jail.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Pacific Coast Highway and Huntington Street: An OCTA bus driver reported that he dropped off two men at a beach and saw the men approach campers and steal two bicycles from them. Police searched for the thieves and arrested two men from Garden Grove a half-hour later, two miles away. The bicycles were returned to the owners and the suspects were held at Huntington Beach City Jail.

* Pearce Street: A young male prowler was reported peering into a window in the 4900 block at 1:25 a.m. Thursday.

IRVINE

* Meadowbrook: A cell phone was reported stolen from a backpack at a high school at 8:49 a.m. Wednesday.

* Laguna Canyon Road: About 20 desktop computers and six laser printers were stolen from a business in the 16265 block; reported at 5:36 a.m. Tuesday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Ocean Avenue: Residents reported that people were knocking on their doors and running away in the 200 block Saturday night.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Alicia Parkway: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 24000 block at 5:57 p.m. Jan. 18.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Cummins Drive: A man reportedly threw a bottle at another man over the quality of his guitar playing Saturday night in a driveway in the 27000 block, police said. The first man was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

LA HABRA

* East Rosecrest Avenue: Police chased a man into a home in the 200 block at 9 p.m. Saturday after residents called to complain that he was selling drugs on their street. Police said he tried to flush what was believed to be heroin down the toilet but they retrieved it. The man was arrested and held at La Habra Jail.

LAKE FOREST

* Comanche Road: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 22000 block at 10:32 a.m. Jan. 18.

* Verner Drive: A woman reported several people were “papering” the house across the street in the 5200 block at 10:34 a.m. Jan. 18.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Lexington Drive: Police took a report of an embezzlement of $26,000 in property from a business near Farquhar Avenue at 8:08 a.m. Tuesday.

* Portal Drive: Six wood stakes valued at $900 were stolen from a flatbed truck near Katella Avenue; reported at 9:21 a.m. Tuesday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Cordero Lane: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 27000 block at 12:33 p.m. Tuesday.

* Oso Parkway: Report of a robbery with an audible alarm in the 26000 block at 9:03 a.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* Newport Center Drive: Two acrylic sculptures worth $4,700 were stolen from a business in the 400 block between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.

* River Street: A coin machine was stolen from a business in the 5500 block between 9 and 10 p.m. Tuesday.

* Colony Plaza: A sapphire ring and tooth whitener worth $3,185 were stolen from the 1300 block sometime between Jan. 13 and 18.

ORANGE

PLACENTIA

* Santa Fe and Melrose Avenues: A man was beating a woman on a residential street Saturday, according to residents, and when police arrived, the couple said they were arguing, that they always hit each other when they fight and that it’s not serious. Police issued a warning.

* Crowther Avenue: A hit-and-run was reported in the 100 block at 2:38 p.m. Thursday. A parked BMW was hit and the driver fled, but witnesses reported the driver’s vehicle license plate to police.

* West Chapman Avenue: Report of petty theft in the 700 block at 2:54 p.m. Thursday. A suspect was detained on suspicion of shoplifting meat from the Bargain Basket.

* Via Callejon: Report of a robbery alarm in the 1000 block at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 18.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Buckingham Drive: Report of a robbery alarm in the 26000 block at 7:13 a.m. Jan. 18.

SANTA ANA

* 4th Street: A man was arrested on suspicion of stealing $3 from a market in the 400 block at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday.

SEAL BEACH

* Driftwood Avenue: A woman called police to report her 15-year-old son cut the power to her home and was spraying the house with water Saturday at midnight. She said the boy, who takes medication for attention deficit disorder, threw her into a wall early Saturday, rupturing a disc in her back, and punched her in the mouth, cutting her lip. The teenager ran from the house after police were called.

STANTON

* Beach Boulevard: Report of robbery with an audible alarm in the 10000 block at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Tustin East Drive: Loud music and stomping from the residence above disturbed neighbors living below in the 13800 block at 1:12 a.m. Tuesday.

* Alliance Avenue: Report of vandalism with white spray paint and a black marker in the 16500 block at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday.

VILLA PARK

* Villa Park Road at Lemon Street: Report of reckless driving at 8:28 p.m. Tuesday.

WESTMINSTER

* Westminster Mall: A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of petty theft at 4:54 p.m. Jan. 17.

* Arroyo Street: Police arrested a 45-year-old man on an outstanding warrant in the 4900 block at 2:33 p.m. Tuesday.
