Ice Dogs Are No Match for the Moose, 3-2

Rhett Gordon scored the game-winning goal as the Manitoba Moose defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 3-2, Sunday night in an International Hockey League game at the Great Western Forum.

The Ice Dogs (29-17-1) remain in second place in the Southwest Division of the IHL despite having Dan Lambert, Patrik Augusta, Patrik Stefan and Jocelyn Lemieux out because of injuries.

Nathan Lafayette scored on the power play at 5:47 in the first period to put the Ice Dogs in the lead.

Manitoba tied it when Bill Bowler scored at 17:47. The Ice Dogs took the lead when Lonnie Loach scored a power-play goal less than a minute into the third period.
