Andy Grove, Arthur Levitt Head List of Speakers

The third annual Los Angeles Times Investment Strategies Conference will be held the weekend of May 22-23 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. The two-day public conference will offer expert panels, discussions and the chance to learn the latest investing options and strategies.

Featured keynote speakers will include Andy Grove, co-founder and chairman of Intel Corp., one of the world’s most successful technology companies; Arthur Levitt, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission; and CNBC financial anchors Maria Bartiromo and Sue Herera. Other featured sessions include panels with Times Business columnists and writers James Flanigan, Walter Hamilton, Paul Lim and Tom Petruno.

Mutual fund tracker Morningstar Inc. is the presenting sponsor of the conference panel sessions, which will feature discussions on topics such as online trading, estate planning, women’s investment issues and evaluating your mutual fund portfolio.

Morningstar analysts, Times Business writers and editors and CNBC anchors will moderate the panels. Panelists are selected by Times editors and will include leading portfolio managers, financial advisors and industry experts from across the country.

The conference will once again include an expansive exhibit hall where individual investors can meet face to face with sponsor representatives, financial planners and other exhibitors. More details will be published in the spring.
