COSTA MESA
Police will set up a sobriety checkpoint on Harbor Boulevard north of Wilson Street on Friday night. Officers will check northbound motorists between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. The checkpoint isn’t expected to create any traffic delays. The goal, the department says, is to educate motorists about problems associated with drinking and driving. All drivers found to be under the influence will be arrested and booked into jail. Information: (714) 754-5263.
