Gretzky’s Goal Beats Ice Dogs

Brent Gretzky, younger brother of Wayne Gretzky of the New York Rangers, scored the winning goal at 7:06 of the third period Wednesday night as the Chicago Wolves defeated the Long Beach Ice Dogs, 6-4, in an International Hockey League game at Rosemont, Ill.

The Ice Dogs rallied to score three unanswered goals in the last 12 minutes of the second period to pull even with the Wolves at 4-4.

Long Beach goaltender Ryan Bach made 43 saves as the Ice Dogs were outshot, 49-23.
