GAME OF THE WEEK
STANFORD (17-2) at ARIZONA (13-3)
When--Tonight. Time--7:30. TV--Fox Sports West.
* Story line--Many eyes will be on unbeaten Connecticut’s game against St. John’s on Saturday. But in the West, it’s Stanford at Arizona tonight--one of the toughest tests of the Cardinal’s chances of going 18-0 in the Pac-10. Stanford Coach Mike Montgomery dismisses such talk, a prospect raised by Arizona Coach Lute Olson, whose own team was stopped one victory short of the feat by USC last season. “I think most of the ones saying it are the ones trying to shift pressure,” Montgomery said. “Our friend Lute, he doesn’t miss many tricks.”
