The city’s fourth annual Uncle Sam’s July 3rd Celebration promises patriotic fun and family entertainment Saturday, starting at 3 p.m. at El Modena High School’s Fred Kelley Stadium, 3920 Spring St. Free activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, two live bands, a decorated bicycle parade and food. A fireworks display, patriotic tunes and a special show honoring local veterans begins at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $4; children 6 and younger are admitted free. Tickets are available Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the community services building next to City Hall, 230 E. Chapman Ave., and then at the event from 3 p.m. on. Information: (714) 744-7274.
