The Mighty Ducks signed right winger Jeff Nielsen and center Ted Drury to multiyear contracts Thursday, leaving six of their free agents unsigned.

Nielsen had five goals and nine points in his first full season with the Ducks in 1998-99. Drury, who has been with the Ducks three seasons, had five goals and 11 points last season.

Defensemen Oleg Tverdovsky, Jason Marshall, Ruslan Salei and Paul Trnka, forward Antti Aalto and goalie Dominic Roussel remain unsigned. All are restricted free agents.

The Ducks also have until July 15 to sign Vitaly Vishnevsky, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound defenseman from Russia. He was the team’s first-round pick (fifth overall) in the 1998 draft.

If the Ducks do not sign Vishnevsky before July 15, they will not negotiate with him until after next season. In the meantime, he would likely play in Russia.
