The Recreation Department has opened four public swimming facilities--just in time to beat the heat. Peak Park Municipal Pool and Boisseranc Park Mini Pool will be open seven days a week from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. and from 2:45 to 4:30 p.m. Peak also will be open from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both pools will close Sept. 6. Children 17 and younger will be admitted for $1; cost for adults is $1.50. Children younger than 7 must be accompanied by an adult, who must swim as well.

Brenner Park Wading Pool for children under 7 will be open for free from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. Larwin Park Spray Pool is open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Information: (714) 562-3877.
