Sweet Deals in the Air at Fragrance Discounter

Here’s another fragrance discounter to check in the San Fernando Valley--the Scent Emporium, where we found a full inventory and three pleasant women on hand to help.

There’s a range of 20% to 40% off department store prices on many of those fragrances particularly popular with the young crowd, such as Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Davidoff’s Cool Water.

You can get Alfred Sung’s 3.4-ounce size, which usually goes for $70, for $36.99. Givenchy’s Organza is reduced from $68 to $46.99, and Dolce & Gabanna drops from $78 to $54. They are all eau de toilette spray. There’s not a large selection of the perfume-strength aromas, but those that are available carry super discounts, such as 1 ounce of Cartier for $150 instead of $265.

We found some fragrances that are on the hard-to-find list, such as Laura Biagiotti, Lancome’s Climat and Marrouskia from Russia, which are deeply discounted. The big surprise at this little treasure trove are the cosmetics by Clinique, Lancome and Chanel--not the entire line of Chanel but certain items. The liquid foundation, Perfect Perfection, that usually sells for a $50 is more affordable at $38.99. Although not all colors were in the inventory, the most popular were.

The lipsticks are $12.99 instead of $22.50 retail. Clinique lovers will be pleased that Moisture on Call and Moisture on Line can be purchased for $22.50 instead of $30. Lancome’s dual-finish powder makeup in all colors goes for $22.50 instead of $29.
