Jeanne Anne Thomey; Ventura Homemaker
Jeanne Anne Thomey, a 50-year county resident, died July 4. She was 72.
Thomey was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Omaha, Neb., and moved to Ventura from San Diego.
She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ventura for five decades. She also was a director for the Camp Fire Girls camp at Foster Park Bowl.
She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
Thomey was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Donald G. Thomey.
Thomey is survived by her daughter, Toby Petty of Ventura, brother Donald Reeves of San Diego and two grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Ventura. Burial is private.
Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura is handling the arrangements.
