Police arrested 54 suspected gang members from Santa Ana to Orange on weapons violations, assault charges and parole violations Friday and Saturday, authorities said. Most of those arrested in the police sweep were from Garden Grove, although police arrested suspects from Santa Ana, Westminster and Orange, said Tori Richards, spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney’s office. The Garden Grove Police Department led the effort, and received assistance from police officers in Santa Ana and Westminster. Both adults and juveniles were taken into custody, all of whom had warrants out for their arrest, Richards said.
