LA HABRA
The city has created a nonprofit organization that will support and promote its cultural, recreational, health and counseling services. The La Habra Community Foundation plans to raise money through donation drives and various fund-raisers. Residents and businesses also will be able to support the community foundation through their utility billing statements. Anyone who signs a pledge form can add at least $1 to each billing statement with the proceeds going toward the foundation. To make a donation or for more information, call (562) 694-8973.
