LOS ALAMITOS
The city is looking into the possibility of consolidating its Police Department with that of Seal Beach, Mayor Marilynn Poe said last week. “It would be a change in the administrative end,” Poe said. “The cars would continue to say Los Alamitos, so it’s nothing that the community would notice except that the response time would be faster.”
Poe didn’t know when a final decision will be made, but she said it will be based on whether the move will save the city a substantial amount of money while maintaining the best service possible.
