Ducks Re-Sign Broadcaster Madsen for 3 Years

The Mighty Ducks have signed television play-by-play announcer Chris Madsen to a three-year contract extending through the 2001-2002 NHL season.

Madsen has been the team’s television announcer since the Ducks began NHL play in 1993, a span of 421 telecasts.

BASEBALL

Saddleback College pitcher Mike Pazzulla has agreed to attend Azusa Pacific this fall.

Pazzulla was 12-3 with one save and a 4.01 earned-run average this season for the 34-15 Gauchos, who reached the title game of the Southern California regional tournament. He was an Orange Empire Conference first-team selection.

* The Fullerton Stingers 14-under baseball team will represent Orange County at the AAU National Championship World Series Saturday through July 31 in Chickasha, Okla.

The Stingers include players from Brea, Fullerton, Anaheim, Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach and La Habra.

KICKBOXING
