Burrito Smuggling: On Friday night, I go to Marina del Rey. I get a burrito at Baja Fresh and I sneak it into the movie theater. I could go to jail! [She laughs.]
Watching the World Go By: After the movie, my boyfriend [Todd Bradley, a counselor at UCLA] and I go to a spot near the beach in Marina del Rey and listen to the car radio. I also like to go to a spot in Playa del Rey and watch the planes take off and land. I’m intrigued by it, even though I hate flying.
On the Waterfront: On Saturdays, I like to go to the boardwalk in Venice Beach. I like to buy little trinkets--little friendship bands and bracelets. Sometimes I get recognized and I have to stop to sign autographs. Todd enjoys it, but I’m kind of shy, so I don’t like all the confusion.
Avoiding the Confusion: If Todd’s over, he likes to cook hot dogs on the grill. We eat hot dogs and potato chips and stay in the house all day, watching videos. Or, if it’s sunny, we lay out by the pool. I really love the sun. When it’s warm, I want to be outside. When the sun goes down, I get down. I get a little sad.
Out and About: On Saturday nights, my favorite spot is Benihana in Marina del Rey. You can find me in Marina del Rey almost all the time. And we have to stop after dinner to get strawberry cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory or a Kahlua cream cheese pie at Marie Callender’s. My other favorite restaurants are Lawry’s and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Doughnut Run: Before I go to church on Sunday mornings at the Grace Place in Hawthorne, I always get doughnuts. My favorite spot is Krispy Kreme, which is all the way out in La Habra. But my mom lives near there, and she’ll bring me two or three boxes at a time. I’ll save them and heat them up. Glazed. Always glazed. I even looked into buying a franchise, but my manager said, “Doughnuts? I don’t think so.”
Girl’s Night Out: Sometimes I go dancing on Sunday night at the Century Club in Century City. Todd doesn’t like to go, but I love to dance so I go every so often and I dance all night.
