Athyal to Speak in Newport Beach
A top official with World Vision International will speak Sunday at St. James Episcopal Church in Newport Beach.
The Rev. Saphir Philip Athyal, director of Mission and Christian Witness for the international religious charity, will speak at 7:30, 9 and 10:45 a.m. services at the church, at 3209 Via Lido.
Athyal served for several years as president and principal of Union Biblical Seminary in Pune, India. He is founder and chairman of the Asia Theological Association and has served as an adjunct professor at Fuller Seminary and at Azusa Pacific University.
