Blind Athlete to Talk About Faith
Athlete Travis Freeman will recount how he’s maintained his faith despite complete blindness on Sunday during the morning worship services at the Crystal Cathedral.
Freeman lost his sight as a teenager but was determined to live a full and productive life. His drive even led him to play high school football.
The Rev. Robert A. Schuller will preside over the services, which will include music by operatic soloist Simon Estes and vocalist Mary Welch Rogers.
Worship services are at 9:30 and 11 a.m. at the cathedral, 12141 Lewis St., Garden Grove. Child care, nursery services and Sunday school classes are available. Information: (714) 971-4000.
