Teddy Riley is set for double duty on a planned tour pairing Blackstreet, the group he’s worked with for five years, and with the reunion of Guy, his late-’80s/early-’90s trio with brothers Aaron and Damion Hall. The latter, which got back together for a track on the “Wild Wild West” soundtrack, is at work on its first new album since 1990. No release date has been scheduled yet. . . .

Orange County ska-pop band Save Ferris is taking an edgier approach on its next album, due in the fall, working with producer John Travis, who’s fresh off the hot Kid Rock album, as well as having engineered and mixed Sugar Ray’s last two collections. . . .

Former Nine Inch Nails drummer Chris Vrena is producing a new album for Jack Off Jill, the band that comes from Marilyn Manson’s hometown of Fort Lauderdale and joined Manson’s tour earlier this year after Hole dropped off. The album is due in late September. . . .

Simon Raymond of the Cocteau Twins is applying his sense of atmospheres as producer of a new album for Los Angeles band the Autumns. Risk Records will release it early next year. . . .

Eleven top radio dance music deejays from around the U.S. will spin records at Orcini in Beverly Hills on Aug. 14 to celebrate the release of “Torch Bearers,” an album featuring tracks specially created by each. Los Angeles is represented by Jason Bentley of KCRW-FM (89.9) and KROQ-FM (106.7), Jed the Fish of KROQ and Christian B. of KIIS-FM (102.7), with New York’s Liquid Todd and Seattle’s Brian Beck among the others. . . .

Sheryl Lee Ralph, who plays Brandy’s mom on TV’s “Moesha” and was nominated for a Tony Award for “Dreamgirls,” is starting her own recording career with a dance version of Eurythmics’ “Here Comes the Rain Again,” due Aug. 10.*
