‘Sex,’ Please

While I admire The Times’ coverage of an ignored yet undeniably significant and influential rapper, Kool Keith, I must admit that I was a bit surprised to witness Soren Baker skirt around the subject of “Sex Style” (“Can This Guy Be Serious? You Bet,” July 18).

This phenomenal album came before Dr. Octagon, Dr. Dooom and Black Elvis. If you’re going to write about Kool Keith, you have to talk about this album. Since when has sex become too flighty a topic for the media?
