Brea Olinda Unified School District is spending $138,000 on portable classrooms at Laurel Elementary School and Brea Canyon High School to keep up with the growing student population. The trailers will arrive at the end of August. “In the 1970s, [portable classrooms] reminded me of bungalows,” said Assistant Supt. Gary Goff. “These are much more attractive so that they look and feel like a real classroom.”

Brea Canyon will receive a half-size classroom and Laurel will get one regular classroom and a double-wide classroom.
