SANTA ANA

In an effort to provide better service to customers, a cellular telephone company will be allowed to lengthen a 35-foot transmitter to 60 feet, under a plan approved recently by the City Council. The transmitter will be on Saddleback High School land at 2802 S. Flower St. Airtouch also will try to preserve the aesthetic quality of the schoolyard by disguising the pole as a palm tree, complete with fake palm fronds.
