LA PALMA
The City Council on Tuesday approved next year’s operating budget of $6.25 million, an increase of only $33,000 from this year. The council also approved a capital improvement projects budget of $2.6 million, which includes installing a new median on La Palma Avenue from Walker to Moody streets, and extending El Rancho Verde Park by leasing and renovating land from Southern California Edison. The operating budget also includes a 38% set-aside for the general fund reserves in case of unexpected expenses.
